Successful 2010 NWT Championships
Ninety six speed skaters arrived in Yellowknife February 19-21 for our annual speed skating championships where all participated in a modified age class event. It was a very exciting meet with many personal bests posted and lots of exciting races for spectators and parents. A huge vote of thanks goes to the many Yellowknife club volunteers who officiated, organized, prepared paperwork and provided food. Coaches from each club should also be commended for the performance of their skaters as a glance at the final standings shows strength in every club! Many thanks also to our event sponsors: McLennan Ross Legal Counsel and HomeLife Real Estate. A full protocol is posted under Competitions/NWT Champs.
